Roll Call - Flash Is Required Error

If you are attempting to do the Roll Call in Canvas Discussions and are receiving a message saying "Flash required for recording video." this can be resolved by updating a setting in your Google Chrome Browser.

Steps to resolve:

  1. At the top right, click the 3 dots > Settings.
  2. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  3. Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.

Click Flash, here is a shortcut directly to the setting = chrome://settings/content/flash

On this page, you will see an "Ask first" open. Disable it.

Once disabled, please refresh Canvas, and the Record Media Feature should begin working properly.
